for Cassina, Italy, 1960s
£900 from £1,150
Ico Parisi was a talented Italian architect and designer known for his contributions to mid-century modern furniture design. Born in 1916 in Palermo, Italy, Parisi began his career in building construction and architecture before taking up filmmaking and furniture design in the 1940s. His designs are characterized by their Italian mid-century modern aesthetic, featuring soft woods often cut into boomerang-like shapes and augmented by metal slats and bold upholstery. The table has a solid walnut wooden frame, composed by several slats and bars dowel connected very nicely.
The table is in good vintage condition, showing some marks consistent with normal use over time. There are a few scratches on the glass top.
