Pair of Rare Lounge Chairs by Pierre Jeanneret (1896–1967), Designed circa 1953 | Model No: PJ-SI-08-A. Crafted from solid teak, canvas, and rope, these low lounge chairs exemplify Pierre Jeanneret's early designs upon his arrival in Chandigarh. The structure, made of solid teak, can be assembled and disassembled using screws and nuts. The distinctive "bridge"-style legs support a backrest woven from cotton cord, while the seat features an interlaced pattern of broad cotton straps. With only a limited number ever produced, these chairs remain among Jeanneret’s earliest and most sought-after creations.
In well-preserved condition with natural wear from age and use. Restored and includes a Certificate of Authenticity.
